英國貝德福德鎮（Bedford）19日下午發生重大鐵路事故，2列東米德蘭茲鐵路公司（East Midlands Railway，EMR）列車發生碰撞，造成1名火車司機不幸身亡、99人受傷，其中9人傷勢危急、32人重傷，另有2人傷勢「非常嚴重」，當地警方正在調查釐清事故原因。
